Expert Percussion Teacher
As well as private tuition Joelle has also been holding workshops all over the UK for over 10 years, particularly in hand drumming techniques, for example Middle Eastern framedrum workshops and Cuban and African rhythm workshops - from business activities to all female groups through to children's workshops, also working in the community with renowned master drummers Pritam Singh (Indian Tabla) and Silbert (Djembe). Joelle has a BA (Hons) in music, a rich and varied performance history and Carry's a current CRB disclosure, so you can be assured you are in great hands -reaching high standards through fun and enthusiastic teaching.
Rhythm School
Working alongside other drum teacher's including Tim Tandler, and many other musicians in the industry, Joelle can offer guidance, advice and contacts for all your musical and rhythmical needs.
Also working closely with father Mickey Barker (drummer, producer) at Studio 8 in Moseley - our aim is to teach drums... the right way!
